Comments: I got hold of my first digital Canon EOS camera during my visit to Singapore, and was thrilled to have the freedom to switch from low ISO speeds to high, fast settings. This and the other night shots in this gallery were taken on ISO 1600 without tripod, and at the time I was thrilled with the results. Noise (electronic interference) is an issue with these fast ISO settings - although the images are fine for the web and small prints - but this can be improved using filtering software such as Noise Ninja, which I'd recommend. However, I've just upgraded to the new 20D body (April 2005), and the noise profile of this is superb compared to the earlier digital SLRs - image quality is fantastic upto ISO 800 (as good, if not better, than the 35mm film equivalent, in my opinion), good at 1600 and acceptable at ISO 3200.
All Singapore photographs in this gallery are digital images, although I do not have the EXIF data for all of them so cannot give exact details (aperture, shutter speed, etc) about every shot.
